Back in January when I first started this journey to the stage I had no idea what was in store for me. Now that I am 6 weeks from the date of my show I now know how hard it is to reach my final destination. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the constant words of motivation and encouragement I receive from each and every one of you on a daily basis. In six short weeks I will continue to see more progress until I have reached my final destination. These next six weeks are going to kick my butt, but I am ready for the challenge. As I stated last week my meals have now changed and my caloric intake has decreased significantly from what they were when I first started. Last week I did not notice the effects so much, but I feel like this week may be a challenge. I AM READY TO BREAK THROUGH THE CHALLENGE! I think the reason why I have decided to take my fitness to the next level by competing is because my entire life I have been told that I am fat, worthless, ugly, a whale, and people telling me that I will never be a small or thin person because I was just meant to be FAT. Well I am here to say that IT WAS ALL A LIE! Yes I have always struggled with my weight and I was always in the double digits as far as clothing size, but now I am proving once and for all that anyone can accomplish anything they put their mind to! Not only have I demonstrated this with my dedication to working out and meal prepping for my show, but I have also demonstrated this in my school work as well. In my immediate family I am the first to obtain any sort of degree (I have my AA) and I will be completing my BS in Kinesiology this summer and then I am off to graduate school in the fall to obtain a MS of Exercise Science and Physical Education. I am so proud and happy with where I have come that there is no looking back now!
I know that you all are probably hoping for a status update on progress and I can tell you this, I am now down to 123lbs and no I do not have pictures to share just yet, but I will. From here on out I will be sharing the pics that I send to my coach every two weeks, so you all have one more week until I post anymore progress photos. I want to keep you all in anticipation of what is to come! I must say I looked in the mirror this morning and I have never seen my body look so AMAZING or DEFINED in my entire life and I am so PROUD of where I have come from! By the way today was LEG DAY and I totally rocked it in the gym! Stay tuned throughout the week for more updates, and sorry for not posting more photos, don’t worry you won’t be disappointed when I do.
